It's a Real Housewife Fish Fry!!!!

I did something I never thought I'd be doing...I fried fish. Well it wasn't an all out fish fry as much as it was a "cook a few fish filets." I woke up yesterday morning and got Michael off to work and then went to work looking for a recipe that would suit my first foray into fish making. And with the help of Anne Burrell, I found it!

The House on Haunted Hill!

So, Michael and I are in the slow process of finding a new home. We have been searching (or I have rather) endlessly online and watching every show on TV about home buying and fixing them up. Yesterday we toured two homes, they were on separate ends of Mukilteo. The first one was nice, the second was a house straight out of the 90's and you could totally tell. Today however, we took a home tour that we will NEVER forget!

When God decides to keep an Angel...

Four years ago today, the Lord decided to keep an Angel.

Funkity...funk...funk....funk.

I'm a horrible, horrible blogger. It's been quite a number of days since I last updated all you faithful readers on this mess I call my life. I wish I could say that I have been crazy busy, but the truth is that I'm in a bit of a funk. There are a lot of things in my mind these days and it seems that my mountains are mere mole hills to everyone else around me.

Prayers for the family of Sherry Arnold

Over the past 6 days we've been following a story coming out of a small town in Eastern Montana. A 43 year old teacher went for a jog at 6:30 AM and was never seen again. For the next few days the citizens of the small town and the surrounding county, with the help of local and federal law enforcement, set out on a search to find this wife/mother/daughter.

No rest for the weary...or sick for that matter....

Michael and I made our trip to Arizona to see my mother. As a big ol' momma's boy...it was very important for me to get down there to see her and make sure she was really okay. And I'm incredibly fortunate to have a husband who recognizes how important family is to me and will do anything to help me and my family out when needed.

On the road again....

Well, in the air at least. It's now 4:29 AM and I'm sitting at Sea-Tac waiting for my 6 AM flight to Vegas. And then we get to pick up our rental car and drive the 2 1/2 to 3 hours to Parker. Woo hoo. It's not fun traveling on little to no sleep. I honestly don't think I've slept through a night in over 2 years. It's funny how getting older does that to a person.

New Year's Happiness and the scare that followed.

Hello 2012! Wow, okay...so I can't believe that it's already 2012. 2011 just seems like it went by way too fast and so much happened that it's hard to digest everything. I feel very lucky to have the life that I do, and the friends that I've made in the past year. But this New Year wasn't filled with all joy and happiness.
