Eagles, waves and sunsets.

That's what Tofino seems to be for me. I still can't get over the sound of the surf hitting the beach literally outside out door. We have all the doors open right now, mainly because I set off the smoke alarm this morning...but to most people I'll say it's because we wanted to hear the waves. :) It's our little secret.

To Tofino and beyond!

Yesterday was one of the longest days in quite some time for us! We woke up at around 5:15 AM to embark on, what would become, a 13 hour journey. All of this to get to a place called...Tofino. Where the hell is that, you ask? Well I had no idea either! But after looking it up on a map, it's on the western shores of Vancouver Island.

Alright, I know that almost two months ago I posted a video message on my YouTube channel talking about the new video series that I was going to be starting. Well...have you been wondering where they are at? I have! I'm going to be honest...life got in the way and I am just now getting around to recording and getting them uploaded to my channel.

How deep and widespread are your roots?

After spending a great deal of time in the garden today I got to thinking about a few things. I was pulling up our crop of onions and I pulled up one in particular that had a pretty extensive root system. It made me think about the roots that I've put down in my own life, and I wonder how deep and extensive mine really are.

Married to Medicine...

Bravo! has a show that premiered this season called "Married to Medicine." And it follows the lives of 6 women in Atlanta, GA. Two of the six women are physicians, while the other four are wives of doctors. Let me just start off by saying...Holy COW! My life is nothing like that...and THANK GOD!

On Death, Dying and Living.

Over the last few years death, dying and living has hit home way too close when it comes to my family and friends. After a night of dreams filled with those I love who have passed, I woke to an article about an 18 year old boy in Minnesota who's life ended on May 20th after his courageous battle with osteosarcoma.
