Can't Beat the Crock Pot!

I realize that I'm the person who always seems to go "over the top" when making dinner. But there are some days that I really don't want to put much effort into things. And some days it's that I have a million things to do, and when it comes time to sit down for dinner...I don't want to be spending 3 hours to get me there. It is then, my friends, when the crock pot comes out of it's spot behind my Le Creuset pots.

Calling all my Chicken Peeps!

I've realized lately that having this blog is a good way for me to not only get out my daily musings, but it's a place to bring up issues in my life or the world around me. And this is one of those moments when I come to my readers to ask for your help and support.

Canning! My days have been consumed by canning...lots of it! I think it was a bad idea for Michael to let me get the pressure canner! I bet he's thinking that he's going to come home one day from work and Puck and Cooper will be in big jars on the counter! But hey...if they hold still long enough, it just might happen! And then I wouldn't have dog hair all over my floors! :)

Don't just Love...Respect. This statement is one that can ring true in many facets of our daily life. However, I want to holla back to a post I did a few weeks ago about our neighbours. On a side note, I have that song "Ain't no holla back girl!" in my head now. Good going Brian!

Grieving losses...Camp Erin 2013.

I can hardly believe that King County Camp Erin 2013 has come and gone. It seriously seems like I just finished my first camp, and now the second one is over. This weekend was full of laughter as well as tears, grieving as well as celebrating, early mornings and late nights. But just like last year, it was all worth it.

Camp Erin 2013 is FINALLY HERE!

That's right everyone...King County Camp Erin 2013 is finally here! And I truly don't know if I accomplished the million and one things I needed to do before I leave for camp!! How is it that yesterday it was the middle of March...and now it's already the end of August?!?!

Throwing it Back...Episode 2.

I thoroughly enjoyed posting a blog post from my past a few weeks ago. Because of that I've decided to do it again. I searched through my MySpace blog posts and found another that made me smile. While living in Hawaii, I had a friend here in Seattle that I thought I had a "teachable moment" with via chat. Sadly...my superb storytelling was lost on him. LOL.

New Life on the Farm.

I can finally take a breath, and its not labored. During the last 5 days, there were times that I could barely breathe and sleep was little to be had. Why you ask? As you know I had 6 eggs in my incubator, and two days before hatch date they decided to pip!

Love Thy Neighbour...

I have no idea where the time is going, but it seems like I just made my last post yesterday! I can't believe it's already been a week! But for the last week or so I've had something on my mind. And it's been my neighbours! Despite the title of this post...I have found that this is one of the Commandments that I haven't always followed. However, the older I get, the more I find neighbours that I enjoy letting in and being a part of my life. When you are purchasing a home, or even renting a home or apartment, they always tell you to go and meet some of the neighbours to get the feel for the neighbourhood before moving there. But this isn't always something that is feasible.

As you know the last week or so I've been absent from the blog, I've had a ton of things going on and not really sure what to write about. So today I decided that I'm going to start my own Thursday thing...and I'll call it "Throwin' it back..." Today is Episode 1.
