Ooooo! Look at my kitchen!

Okay, so you know I LOVE my kitchen! You know that I love getting new appliances and new cookware as well. Well, I can't even begin to tell you how MUCH I love my new Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Cookware! They look SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good hanging on the pot rack!

Ooooooo, Baby!!!
Okay, seriously! How gorgeous is it!?! And Wanda is looking all beautiful on the island as well! :) **sigh** I love my kitchen!

The other night while Mike was working until 2 AM, I decided that I'd finally do something with all the pears from our CSA. So at 11:30 at night I started making pear butter. And let me tell you, three hours later when it was finished...it was quite yummy. Mike even had some the next morning on toast and told me how good it was! :) These are the things that I love to do!

Tonight I made pea-lafels, which are like falafels but you use frozen peas and edamame as the bulk of the mixture and mix in some chickpea flour. They are so good in a pita with some cucumbers and ranch dressing! I got the recipe from Aarti Party and it has become a staple in our house because it's not only delicious but quite simple to make.

Now here's the bad part of this post...I used one of my new stainless steel pans to do the frying in...and it stained my pan! So I've been researching online and trying different things to get the oil stains off the pan! Everything says it takes time and a lot of elbow grease. So I'm hoping that I didn't permanently stain my pan. But I did see a great quote on one website that said, "It's a kitchen, not a museum. Stains happen." Kinda puts it in perspective, but still sucks that I've only had them for one day!

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, I am going to work in the morning for a few hours **Reminder...check out www.healingcenterseattle.org and look at the event coming up next Friday "NovemberFest". It's going to be a great event that will help raise funds for The Healing Center, if you aren't able to attend I encourage you to make a donation, any size donation helps!!** And then I have to be home no later than 1 PM because we are having our carpets cleaned tomorrow afternoon and I need to get things moved. A housewife's work is NEVER done!

On that note, I need to take the boys out and get them settled in for the night and get myself showered and into bed. Goodnight all!
