Another day in the jet setting life of The REAL Housewife of Snohomish County!

Oh Versailles! Tres magnifique! Oh my goodness. Today was full of so much! Even though we didn’t walk as much as we did yesterday, it was still a VERY full day!

We woke up around 7:30 to start our day. Made our way to the same pastry shop and got eats to go. We got on the Metro at Charles-de-Gaulle Etoile and made our connection at Bir-Hakeim/Champ de Mars. The train ride was rather quick to Chateau de Versailles. We got off and made our way to the Chateau, which…seriously…wow.
Mike and Dughi face(via text) made the same comment. “See why the French people got so mad at Louis and Marie Antoinette?!” The size of Chateau de Versailles is crazy, and inside you get the taste of some of the things. However, even though the inside was quite nice…it paled in comparison to the Palace Grounds and gardens. OMG! They were never ending! I took a ton of pictures during our trip to Versailles and I won’t post many in this blog. I plan on starting a photo account and posting all my pictures there for everyone to see.

Would YOU like to eat dinner with an "audience"?

It was another GORGEOUS day in Paris! Mike and I couldn’t have asked for better weather on our winter time trip to Europe! It’s been in the high 40s/low 50s most of the time and rather sunny! I took this picture before we left our room this morning. This is out the window in our room…

I’ve had such an amazing time here in France. And loving to cook, and also loving Julia Childs…I’ve decided that if I EVER did drag(which is HIGHLY unlikely) my name will be…Julio Childs. And I’ll talk in Julia’s voice! J I’ve been making Mike crack up most of the day saying…”I already KNOW how to boillllll and eggggguhhhh. I want to learn how to BONNNNNNEEEEE a duckuhhhhh!” HA HA HA. I know, I need a life! But we’ve shared so many laughs on this trip, it truly has been one of our best trips together!
For those of you who have known me for some time, you’ll remember when I went to Hawai’i a few years ago and Harold joined me. Well, Harold’s brother, Philippe is here in Paris! He’s made his home on my left pinky toe and I tell you what…it’s not been fun. However, I’ve not let Philippe stop my fun!

Today after getting back from Versailles, we made our way back to our room to rest and recharge. We decided to go to the Tour Eiffel and go to the top after dark. However, when we got there the line was CRAZY long. So we opted to go out in the Parc du Champ de Mars and take pictures of the Tour at night as well as with us in front of it. We also saw this nice British girl who took our picture for us! J
LOVED that the moon was out (bottom left)

Here the clouds are moving in :)

We then made our way back to the Champs Elysees for dinner at Laduree, BUT it was closed for renovation! So we found a little place off the main drag and had some dinner and wine. I’ve had steak every night on this trip! And let me tell you…I miss home! I can only imagine if a European went to Texas and ordered a grilled sirloin! They’d shit their britches when this HUGE piece of meat was thrown in front of them! But the wine was good and we had a cheese plate at the end of our dinner that was a nice way to round out the night.
After dinner, we made our way BACK to the Tour Eiffel, but got there and the top was completely hidden in the clouds so we walked down and up to the other side of the Metro and came home. I have to say that even though we didn’t make it to the top of the Tour tonight, it was not a bust! J

This trip has been amazing so far! Tomorrow we are going to try and hit up the following…Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise, Musee Rodin, fill up our mustard container(a gift from Mike’s sister that she got when she was here), Musee du Louve, and try to make it to the top of the Tour Eiffel. It’s going to be a BUSY day! And I don’t know if we’ll get it all done. But I know one thing…leaving Europe I have no regrets! I’ve loved everything we’ve done, and know that there will always be more to see!
Here are a few random pictures from today...

Loved that this was on the outside of the Palace!

Parrots? In France??? Really??? We saw these on the way through the Palace Grounds

They would NOT let me use Marie Antoinette's bathroom! UGH!

Look Mom!!! Elivs...In PARIS!!!!

Au revoir!
