So today is another mad scramble! Trying to make sure I have not only things for me packed, but making sure that everything is all set for the dogs' stay at The Dog Spot. I think Cooper knows that something is up...he keeps following me around and whining while giving me the most pathetic looks. While Puck on the other hand is pretty oblivious to everything.
I started my day at 6:30 am with a nice hour long walk with the dogs. Then it was feeding time at the zoo. I volunteered at the office today for about 3 1/2 hours and busted out some things before heading home to start packing. I've got my handy dandy list in hand as I'm walking around the house grabbing this and that. Then I remembered that I still have one more dinner to cook...so it shall be steak again, but with corn on the cob and a nice salad for dinner (and possibly a bottle of Mad Housewife Cab-Sauv...my FAVORITE wine!).
I have to admit, even though I'm excited about this cruise, I'm actually relieved that it's finally going to happen so I don't have to worry about getting everything ready. I find these days just flying by and before I know it, the day is over and my to-do list is still not completed. VACATION!!!!
We drop the dogs off tomorrow morning around 7:30 AM and then we have a few errands to run before being downtown at around noonish. Vacations seem to be a lot of work, especially when you plan them to relax. Oh well...
So tonight it's another steak, I think I'll do tri tip tonight, and some greens as our final meal before we gorge on the good food on the ship! I'm excited because they have some culinary classes on board, so I hope to beef up my reportoire!
Well, it's back to the grind. I have one more load of laundry going in and some more prep for the dogs...and then I'll be cracking open a bottle of wine before starting dinner.
Cheers to you all, and I hope that I'll be able to post while I'm on the ship...Alaska...here I come! I hope they are ready for this housewife!
