Honolulu Bound!

I have Pineapple Princess running on a loop through my head right now! I'm sitting at gate A13 waiting for our flight to Honolulu to board. I can't even begin to express the emotions that I'm feeling right now. Most of it is that feeling of going home. Or seeing a friend that you haven't seen in years. I feel that right now.

I didn't go to sleep until late last night for a few reasons. I wanted to close the photo contest, and get the voting all set up. So I didn't crawl into bed until around 1 AM. And my alarm woke me from my sleep at around 5 AM. I'm surprised that I even got those four hours of sleep. Luckily this morning wasn't very hectic because we completed everything we needed to yesterday.

Yesterday was a bit of a weird day. Our friend came over and picked up the three chicks to take them home to Whidbey. While it was sad to see them go, I loved having them for a month! It's always so fun to watch chicks grow up! They get so big, so fast! :) And after she left we took the boys to The Dog Spot. As per usual, the minute they were inside the door it was like we didn't even exist anymore. So it was a good thing we said our goodbyes at home! LOL

Last night I went to my last Safe Crossings Parent/Child support group. Again, I can't even begin to explain the awesomeness of this group. After working with these children I always feel so blessed to have been even just a tiny part of their journeys. Helping these children to understand that it is okay to grieve and have feelings is such an important thing. And I stood shoulder to shoulder with some amazing women! From our two facilitators Jill and Valorie to the three fantastic and beautiful volunteers, Sian, Dana and Lindsay! :) (There...there is your shout out...now you'd better leave a comment! ha ha ha) But in all seriousness...it's always amazing to watch volunteers interact with the children and parents. I'm blessed to be a part of it. So blessed.

I'm not sure that I really have too much more to write about today. My mind is already in Honolulu! :) And I can't wait for my body to join it! :)

I guess I'll take just a moment to remind everyone that you can now go to the RHOSC Facebook Page and vote on your favorite Chicken Photo for the contest! Voting ends on May 13th! So hurry and get your vote in!! :) Once on my Facebook page, click on the link at the top that says "Photo Contest" And that will take you to the voting form, and again show you all the pictures!! :) And as a reminder, you do NOT have to be a member of Facebook to vote!

Well, I need to go up to the counter and see if I can get a seat for Michael to sit next to me! :) But I'll catch you on Hawaiian Time! :) Keep checking back for updated blog posts with lots of pictures! And I'm going to leave you with one of my favorite songs from Na Leo. :) And yes...I AM the Pineapple Queen!
