Happy Valenti.....ugh...Happy Single's Awareness Day...

Okay, so I realize that I'm married now and that today is the holiday for those in love...but I will be the first to say that I can NOT stand this day. I like to call today a "forced holiday," and one that is meant to either stress you out trying to figure out what to do for your "sweetie"...or even worse, make it glaringly obvious that you are single.

Okay...I admit it, I have a problem...

We all have problems and/or addictions. However it seems like these days that we are taught to hide them because people will judge us. I guess that is one of the things about having a blog like this is that you are suppose to be sharing things about yourself to make others go, "Hey...I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!" So here it goes...."Hi...My name is Brian and I have a problem...and its..."

Yesterday I left the house as a partner in a corporation...

And I returned a lawfully wedded man! :) It's finally happened! As my friend toasted to Michael at dinner last night, "To Michael...for making an honest man out of Brian...didn't think it'd ever happen!" Of course we all laughed heartily after his toast and merrily drank our champagne!

A long time gone...

Well, I honestly can't believe that it's been over five months since my last post! I actually feel a bit embarrassed! I wish I could say that I've been so busy gallivanting across the world, and helping build homes and schools in third world countries...but in all honesty I've been just trying to live life here in Edmonds.

Coming back a blessed and humbled person...

This past weekend I had the experience of a lifetime. I went into the weekend feeling like I wasn't emotionally able to be there, but decided to leave my personal problems and life at the gate. And by doing that, I was able to experience and be a part of the most amazing and awe inspiring weekend of my life.

Equal Love Equal Rights...not too much to ask for.

I've been reminded in the last few days how precious it really is to find someone that you truly love and know you will spend the rest of your life with. It's hard enough to find people to surround yourself with that love and support you, let alone the one person to share everything with. We all want that person that we can be a total goof around and also feel safe enough to cry with them when life takes a turn for the worse. But I'm constantly reminded of how unfair and unjust this great country of ours truly is.

Workin' my core...

Okay, this week is suppose to be a "Recovery Week" in the Insanity workout...but I have to disagree. Recovery my @$$! Today's workout made my legs, arms and shoulders burn while I had to do different core strengthening workouts. I almost miss my other workouts...almost!

Too Insane to post...kinda.

Okay, so I'm falling behind in my posts again...and I have a good reason. I'm going INSANE! Well, not mentally, but with the exercising! The Insanity Workout is really kicking my butt, but I'm totally getting through it. On top of all of this, I've been making the final tweaks to the chicken coop in preparation for the girls' permanent move outside. **Breathe**

STOP THE INSANITY!!!!

Okay...it's day 15 and I'm ready for this to be done!! LOL. Most people are under the impression that any workout routine gets easier as time goes on. But it's my belief that if it's getting easier, you aren't doing enough and you need to push harder. So I'm here to tell you that Insanity is CRAZY! Oy!!!

Still Holding On...

Okay. So I stole that title from the TV Guide Network's show about Wilson Phillips...but come on! It's too good not to! :) Well let's just say the last few days have been packed full of craziness and a little bit of down time thrown in the mix as well. But here we go!

Ladies and Gentlemen...Wilson Phillips!

Okay...so here it is. We decided on names for our girls. It was the other day and Michael and I were out in the backyard since the sun was out (a rare N.W. moment ;-) ), so we decided to take the chicks outside for their first romp in the grass. It was at that moment that Michael came up with the names for our three newest members of the BP Clan.

Well the last few weeks have been nothing but a blur! I've been busy designing and building a chicken coop. We, along with our two dogs, traveled to Montana and back. And let me tell you...the chicks are here!
